Construction Foreman – Residential & Commercial New Construction
Now Hiring: Experienced Construction Foreman
We are a growing general contracting company seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead field operations on residential and commercial new construction projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive knowledge of all phases of construction, from site preparation through final completion.
This position requires someone who can effectively manage crews, maintain schedules, uphold quality standards, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally. This is a working foreman position—the successful candidate must be willing and able to work alongside the crew whenever needed to keep projects on schedule and maintain high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily job site operations and lead construction crews.
- Work alongside field crews when needed and lead by example.
- Coordinate and oversee all phases of new construction from groundbreaking to project completion.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Schedule subcontractors, deliveries, inspections, and material needs.
- Ensure all work meets building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
- Maintain project schedules and communicate progress with project management.
- Identify and resolve field issues before they impact production.
- Train, motivate, and hold crew members accountable for workmanship and productivity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Perform hands-on construction work whenever necessary to keep projects moving efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7+ years of construction experience, including 3+ years as a Foreman or Superintendent.
- Extensive experience with ground-up residential and commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Site work and excavation.
- Concrete and foundations.
- Masonry.
- Structural framing.
- Roofing.
- Windows and doors.
- Drywall.
- Interior and exterior finishes.
- Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC coordination.
- Final punch-out and project closeout.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must be capable of both managing crews and performing hands-on construction work as project demands require.
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades while maintaining production schedules.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and job site safety practices.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of local building codes and inspection processes.
- Ability to solve problems independently and make sound field decisions.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
